Golf course
Kenora, Ontario
Beauty Bay Golf Course opened as a nine-hole course in 1972 and was expanded to a full 18 in 2001. The parkland layout plays to a par of 70 over roughly 6,000 yards on the lower end of Black Sturgeon Lake, about seven kilometres off Highway 17A northeast of Kenora. Granite outcrops and thick boreal forest of the Canadian Shield frame nearly every hole and make position off the tee important. A clubhouse overlooking the water anchors a busy league and tournament calendar through the short northwestern Ontario season.
